Barry M. Shaw, D.D.S. Welcome to our practice!

Orthodontics is a special branch of dentistry that deals with the correction of teeth and jaw irregularities in children and adults. Although many dentists are able to perform some orthodontic treatment, only orthodontic specialists can belong to the AAO (American Association of Orthodontists) by completing at least two years of concentrated orthodontic training in a university or hospital setting.

Since the beginning of my practice of orthodontics, there have been so many varied developments. These have included, to name a few, clear plastic braces, lingual braces (on the inside of teeth), functional appliances, TMJ appliances, ceramic braces and mostInvisalign recently, Invisalign®. We also help many patients in a medical setting by constructing snoring prevention and sleep apnea treatment oral devices.
